The Maramon Convention is an annual Christian Convention held in the town of Maramon, in the Indian state of Kerala.
The convention is organized by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, and is attended by people from various denominations of Christianity,
as well as people of other religions. The convention is held in the month of February,
and features speeches and sermons by prominent Christian leaders, as well as cultural programs and music performances. The main aim of the convention is to promote spiritual renewal and Christian unity among the participants.
Maramon Convention conducted by The Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, also known as the Mar Thoma Church, is an autonomous Oriental Orthodox Church based in the Indian state of Kerala.
It is one of the oldest Christian communities in India, and traces its origins to the Apostle Thomas, who is believed to have visited India in the 1st century AD.
The Church follows the liturgical and spiritual traditions of the East Syrian Church, and is a member
of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the National Council of Churches in India,
and the World Council of Churches. The current primate of the Church is Joseph Mar Thoma.
